Abstract: 

In $2011$, Beeler and Hoilman generalized the game of peg solitaire to arbitrary connected graphs. Since then peg solitaire and related games have been considered on many graph classes. One of the main goals is the characterization of solvable graphs. To this end, different graph operations, such as joins and Cartesian products, have been considered in the past. In this article, we continue this venue of research by investigating line graphs. Instead of playing peg solitaire on the line graph $L(G)$ of a graph $G$, we introduce a related game called stick solitaire and play it on $G$. This game is examined on several well-known graph classes, for example complete graphs and windmills. In particular, we prove that most of them are stick-solvable. We also present a family of graphs which contains unsolvable graphs in stick solitaire. Naturally, the Fool's stick solitaire number is an object of interest, which we compute for the previously considered graph classes.

Abstract: 

DESIGNED SINGLE-CO-CRYSTALS OF POLY (ETHYLENE GLYCOL)-B-POLYSTYRENE (PEG-B-PS), POLY (ETHYLENE GLYCOL)-B-POLY (METHYL METHACRYLATE) (PEG-B-PMMA), AND HOMOPOLYMERS INCLUDING VARIOUS MORPHOLOGIES HAVE BEEN GROWN VIA SELF-SEEDING METHOD FROM DILUTE SOLUTION IN AMYL ACETATE. DUE TO DIFFERENT SETS OF QUALITY OF ADOPTED SOLVENT AND INTERACTIONS OF SUBSTRATE FOR AMORPHOUS BLOCKS, WE WERE CAPABLE TO DEVELOP MATRIX-DISPERSE MORPHOLOGIES WITH DIFFERENT DISPERSE PHASES AND RANDOM SINGLE-CO-CRYSTALS. THE SIZE OF DISPERSED DOMAINS IN PS, PMMA AND BARED-SUBSTRATE MATRIX WERE ON THE SCALE OF 91-147 NM, 169-195 NM AND 104-126 NM RESPECTIVELY. THE DISPERSED DOMAIN SIZES WERE ON THE FALL VIA ENHANCEMENT OF AMORPHOUS BLOCKS MOLECULAR WEIGHT. DESPITE THE SIGNIFICANT HEIGHT VARIANCE BETWEEN MATRIX AND DISPERSE PHASES IN PEG-B-PS/PEG SAMPLES (=3.63-10.30 NM), IN PEG-B-PMMA/PEG MATRIX-DISPERSE COCRYSTALS THE HEIGHT VARIANCE BETWEEN DIFFERENT PHASES RANGED FROM 0.04 NM TO 2.04 NM; NEVERTHELESS, THE DETECTABILITY OF THESE SAMPLES COULD LIE IN VARIOUS DENSITIES AND CRYSTALLINITY OF HOMO-PEG REGIONS.

Abstract: 

ساخت آهنرباهای کامپوزیتی پلیمری دائمی با خواص مناسب نظیر مقاومت خوردگی، سهولت شکل پذیری و تولید انبوه با استفاده از پودرهای مغناطیسی نسل جدید از موضوعات جالب پژوهشی روز است. در این پژوهش، آهنرباهای کامپوزیتی پلیمری دائمی با استفاده از پودر همسانگرد NdFeB در ماتریس گرما نرم پلی اتیلن گلیکول ساخته شد. پودر مغناطیسی به روش مکانیکی خرد و در محدوده اندازه های کوچکتر یا مساوی 1، 2 تا 10 و 74 تا mm100 میکرومتر جداسازی گردید. پودر نانومتری پلی اتیلن گلیکول نیز به روش حلال - غیر حلال تهیه شد. اثر اندازه پودر مغناطیسی و مقدار پلیمر PEG بر خواص مغناطیسی آهنرباهای کامپوزیتی پلیمری حاصل، نظیر القای مغناطیسی باقیمانده (Br)، شدت میدان مغناطیسی بازدارنده (Hc)، بیشترین تولید انرژی (BH)max و چگالی نهایی بررسی و مطالعه شد. نتایج نشان می دهد که در بین نمونه های ساخته شده، آهنربای کامپوزیتی پلیمری NdFeB-PEG  متشکل از ذرات پودر مغناطیسی NdFeB باندازه 74-100 میکرومتر و نسبت پلیمر PEG به پودر برابر 5 php مطلوبترین خواص مغناطیسی را به شرح زیر دارد:چگالی نهایی (BH)max=14.454MGOe, Hc=8.415kOe, Br=3.82kG, 5.444g/cm3

Abstract: 

Background: Adapting controlled release technologies to the delivery of DNA has the great potential to overcome extracellular barriers that limit gene delivery. This study investigates the effect of different mass ratio of PLA: PEG in the various tri block poly (lactic acid)-poly (ethylene glycol)-Poly (lactic acid) copolymer (PLA-PEG-PLA) on the properties of the resulting nanoparticles. Methods: The various tri block PLA-PEG-PLA copolymers were prepared via ring-opening polymerization by poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG), lactic acid and stannous octoate as raw material and catalyst, respectively. DNA or siRNA-FAM was incorporated into the tree block PLA-PEG-PLA copolymer using double emulsion solvent evaporation technique. Properties of these nanoparticles, such as morphology and particles size of nanoparticles, DNA release kinetics, in vitro cytotoxicity and siRNA-FAM transfer efficiency were evaluated. Results: Scanning electron microscope (SEM) showed that PLA-PEG-PLA/DNA nanoparticles have spherical morphology with smooth surface. Dynamic light scattering results showed the particle size of PLA– PEG-PLA copolymers increased with an increase in the mass ratio of PLA in PLA-PEG-PLA copolymers. The release profile of the PLA-PEG-PLA/DNA nanoparticles measured using nanodrop and the results showed that, decrease in mass ratio of PLA, increased the release profile of DNA from PLA-PEG-PLA/DNA nanoparticles. Moreover the percentage of siRNA-FAM transfer to MCF-7 cells by various PLA-PEG-PLA copolymers, measuring using flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. Conclusion: These results showed that there is same relation between the mass ratio of PLA and percentage of siRNA-FAM delivery into the MCF-7 cells.

Abstract: 

Background: Recent randomized controlled trials have recommended stentriever thrombectomy as an important modality in treating acute ischemic stroke. Objectives: This study compares Solitaire-FR (ST) and Trevo-ProVue (TV) in terms of their angiographic recanalization rates and clinical outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients with anterior circulation large artery occlusion. Patients and Methods: Forty-seven patients who underwent stentriever thrombectomy using ST or TV were retrospectively reviewed. Successful angiographic recanalization was defined as a modified treatment in cerebral ischemia (mTICI) score of 2b-3 and a good outcome was defined as a modified Rankin scale score (mRS) of 0-2 at 3 months. We compared angiographic and clinical outcomes of ST-and TV-treated patients. Results: Twenty-one patients (mean age  SD: 67. 7  13. 5 years; 14 men) were treated with ST and 26 patients (70. 7  9. 7 years; 13 men) were treated with TV. There were no differences in baseline characteristics, initial national institute of health stroke scale score, location of occlusion, onset to puncture time, or total procedure time between groups. The rate of successful recanalization and symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) between ST and TV groups were not different. [for ST group, mTICI 2b-3: 19 (90. 55%) and sICH: 2 (9. 5%); for TV group, mTICI 2b-3: 23 (88. 5%) and sICH: 3 (11. 5%)]. Good outcomes (mRS 0-2) were not significantly different between the groups [ST: 10 (47. 7%) and TV: 13 (50%); P = 0. 81]. Conclusion: The two stentriever devices showed similar recanalization rates and clinical outcomes in patients with anterior circulation large artery occlusion.

استرهای پلی اتیلن گلیکول دسته ای از امولسیفایرهای نانیونیک غیر سمی می باشند که به دلیل عدم ایجاد حساسیت، کاربردهای متعددی دارند. بطور کلی این استرها را می توان به دو دسته وزن مولکول بالا محلول در آب و دارای کاربرد در سیستم آبی و وزن مولکولی پایین که محلول در روغن بوده و برای سیستم های غیرمائی بکار برده می شود. استرهای پلی اتیلن گلیکول به عنوان امولسیفایر در فرمولاسیون های مختلف به کار می رود. این مواد دارای کاربردهای دیگری نیز در صنایع آبکاری ، کاغذسازی، نساجی و سیستمهای ضد کف در رنگهای پوششی می باشد.استرهای پلی اتیلن گلیکول به جهت دارا بودن طیف وسیعی از (HLB تعادل آب دوست – آب گریز) از لحاظ کاربرد در فرمولاسیون به عنوان امولسیفایر از اهمیت بالایی برخوردارند. این ترکیبات در فرمولاسیون امولسیونهای روغن در آب و آب در روغن به کار برده می شوند. به طورکلی استرهای PEG یک ماده مناسب جهت ایجاد ویسکوزیته و یک تعلیق کننده مناسب به شمار می آیند. در این طرح با معرفی روشهای تولید استرهای پلی اتیلن گلیکول، مواد اولیه اصلی مورد نیاز بررسی و همراه با آن توضیحاتی پیرامون فرآیند اتوکسیلاسیون پرداخته شد. سپس با معرفی وضعیت تولید این استرها درداخل و خارج از کشور به معرفی انواع مختلف این استرها با ذکر کاربردهای آن در صنایع مختلف خصوصا شوینده و بهداشتی پرداخته شده است.

Abstract: 

POLYMER BRUSHES ARE ULTRATHIN COATINGS WITH A THICKNESS LESS THAN 100 NM THAT CONTAINS TETHERED POLYMER CHAINS FROM ONE END TO A SUBSTRATE. THESE COATINGS FUNCTIONALIZE SURFACES WITH SPECIAL FUNCTIONAL GROUPS WITHOUT CHANGING THEIR BULK PROPERTIES. POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL IS NEUTRAL, FLEXIBLE, WATER SOLUBLE AND BIOCOMPATIBLE POLYMER, WHICH IS BEING USED FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATION BROADLY. IN THIS WORK, THE GRAFTING OF POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL CHAINS ONTO SILICON WAFER SUBSTRATES VIA "GRAFTING TO" STRATEGY WAS STUDIED. PREPARED SAMPLES WERE CHARACTERIZED WITH CONTACT ANGLE MEASUREMENT (CA) AND ATTENUATED TOTAL REFLECTION FOURIER TRANSFORM INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY (ATR-FTIR). CONTACT ANGLE MEASUREMENT RESULTS SHOWED DECREASE IN WATER DROP CONTACT ANGLE WITH INCREASE IN GRAFTING TIME AND MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF POLYMER INDICATING THAT SURFACE BECAME HYDROPHILIC. THIS FEATURE MAKE THESE COATINGS AS AN APPROPRIATE CHOICE FOR ANTI-BIOFOULING APPLICATION IN MEDICAL DEVICES.
